Auto enrollment

The government have introduced changes to workplace pensions law to ensure that employers help their employees save for retirement. Employers have been gradually phased in from October 2012, the larger employers first.

From the staging date employers will need to have a workplace pension scheme in place, assess the workforce every pay date and pay employer and employee contributions to a pension scheme where necessary.
